Crimpit

So this one was a purchase from late last year and would be a nice way to make sandwich snacks and this was going to make things easier for that like a quick snack.  So this appeared on my Instagram stories adverts and when some money came in, I managed to order it and this was during the height of the postal strikes. But £16 or so was going to be a way to get 2 of them actually. But Amazon have it on a different link if you want to go for it.  But enjoy the video eventually.

The Packaging:

So it is a clear stance to this and a very colourful feel to it, the picture on the box makes it clear what it is and shows how it is meant to work, like with the sandwich thins and also the colour scheme is based on the box its using so like the yellow and grey are reflected on the packaging. There text is not as small as other brands would show for this type of thing which makes it a niche.

So then it gets to be the inside of the box and actually it was quite small contents, like it has both sides of the crimpit and also the 2 cards with the QR codes on how to use the device and also use it for various sweet and savoury flavours. It ends up 2 plastic ABS moulds which is used to crimp it together.

So that was out of the way and then it was time to finally get this to be made and test it out.

The Testing:

So this can be used in various cooking from Microwave, Toasters, and even gets to be used in air Fryers too. but for this test was  2 crimpits and then use the toaster to see how they go.

One key ingredient is needed is sandwich thins which is the bread needed for this to work. So many places do sell this and some cost more than others, but is is not hard to locate.

The bread needed for this to work

Then it will be the time to add the flavours in. for this review we went for the below ingredients.

  • Ham trimmings
  • Chicken slices
  • Garlic Alloli,
  • Chocolate Orange cookie
  • Cinnamon Squares
  • Biscoff Crunchy Spread

So it was to get that lot combined to 2 sandwiches, which was a easier said than done, since the steps are.

  1. Put the bottom of the thins above the bottom panel for the layout,
  2. Fill the sandwich thing to then get it working as in terms its make the sandwich
  3. Squash the top panel to the sandwich thin which then put the flavour together.
  4. Release and tear down the edges
  5. Put it in the toaster or air fryer
  6. Once thats done, and cooked, ready to eat

So that ends up being the case and how this goes.

Then it shows how it then compressed and ready to go into the toaster.

Another look for it

The Testing:

So this was shortly done and the crimpits popped out, so then it was a bit of a push to grab it out since it was semi stuck there, especially how small it is. But then it came out and looked nice and toasted and a bit of a short cooldown before it was ready to be eaten.

One of the sides is not as burned

Then it was nice to see how it crimped out, but the issue with one of them is the Cinnamon squares was not as squashed down compared to the chocolate orange cookie. The taste was very good for both of them to be fair.

Then it goes to finally give the conclusion on how this looks and was worth cooking in the toaster.
