Super VIB 520 in 1 Console

So, from the fun times of Goose fair, comes bits and pieces of tat and ideas to review which some of them have some good terms. But this idea was to find out what option can show on this, this a blogpost review and can show what some tat is like. But either way. enjoy this. Since most of this ends up from Aliexpress. This was bargained down from £15 to £10

The Packaging:

Its quite a vivid box with the mix of red and white for the box. Alot of misspellings but the text is not as existent but there is a sticker over the 169 in 1 to 520 in 1 and 40 VIB. The controllers were shown as well as the box contents on the left hand side of the box too.

The back of the box

The bottom of the box

As we tuck in to the box via a bit of tape to remove and lift up, we see the console then the controllers and micros USB underneath. But the controllers being USB C would have good implications but as I find out later, they are nerfed.

Micro USB

So we then go to the manual which folds out a bit and yet does not explain most but it is there to explain how to do the basics albet it is a very basic console.

A look at one side of the manual

A look at the other sider

But that seems to be the packaging for the most part and not much else to say, it was neatly packed in there. But now it is time to test:

The Testing:

The controllers:

Simple line here of NO, they do NOT get recognised on both Android or Windows devices aka no input sounds or device manager refreshes when plugged in, so this means no use for them other than this console. So only basic is indeed true. They are quite short cables at only 1m long or so too.

The Console

So this to setup was not too bad but basic USB input and then a normal usb for power is good and the 3.5mm jack to av is a standard to make it easier to connect to.

The controller connected at the front

But then, it w time to power it on and it actually appear very quickly .. It plugged in to the TV's USB Port, then the AV port. then switching input on the TV, , the Picture and Chip tune melody was loud crystal clear. It was nice to begin with but will end up being annoying after scrolling down many menus later.

But then it got to trying out the 40 in 1

The 40 In 1 - Vibrate me

So the key of the 40 in 1 was to enable the use of the controllers vibration, which some of the Popular NES titles like Mario bros and Road Runner and some others even. But I only managed to try a Road runner style game and it felt Good to play, the controller was a bit short but it played reasonable depending on the buttons used, but the BUZZ from the controllers is quite strong on that side so it does make it a plus, maybe even enough to make it a vibrator possible.

Road Runner

Now that was pretty fun but the controller does have its short merit. Like sure the buttons you have to guess which ones minus start and something else but it does play, the D-pad is not too unstable.  But it felt nice to enjoy some nostalgia and its easier to use compared to the previous ones like the superjoy that even Trago used to sell. But in the end of the day, it does work out to be something nice and workable for passing time.

480 in 1 - Alot of hacks and not sure

Lets be honest, going through this amount of games on this and not even sure if many of them work properly is one thing to consider. But some interesting ones like DigDug II and a few Mario rom hacks and even ice climber joins its ranks.

But there we go on that side of things

The Conclusion:

Its one of those retro pirated consoles for usual. Sure there is an aspect to is with the vibration and that could have been its ideal if they were compatible with other devices like Android or Windows since that would have made things ALOT easier, but sadly that was nerfed, i mean HDMI out would not have jumped up that much to the price either so that was a missed feature but again I paid £10 for it so it is a what do you expect for that kinda thing.

omracer's Rating: 3/10

The Good Points:

  • Micro USB for Power
  • Type C ports mean easy controller connectivity
  • A nice-ish menu layout
  • Good Value due to bargained down
  • Some Classic Titles

The Bad Points:

  • No HDMI out
  • Type C controllers do NOT work on other devices like Android or Windows devices (Not even detected or seen in device manager)
  • The Games are too many and some corrupted rom hacks so no idea if crashing or not

And so that is it and more reviews coming at some point, but we can see how it goes from there and if it ends up more reviews towards the end of 2022 which i tell you feels a struggle and a half recently.
