REGEN Energy - Green Apple

So, its been 5 months and actually since I went on holiday. Its been that long and i'm sorry but reviews will be coming soon, and REGEN is to start with. There is no video for this since this coincides and pretty much part of a #omracersNightOut, so the results are in the pudding or whatever. This cost me £29.95 which is £24.95 + £4.99 shipping, 3 Days via Royal Mail signed for and this included a free shaker which was nice of them.

The Packaging

So, its a pretty big tub and is clearly designed to show what is going on and what it provides. Stamina, Focus, Energy and Reaction, all of those qualities needed on a night out. So we will see what it needs. The colours match the flavour which is good indeed, also made in the uk which explains the high price but i needed it for Saturday so pay higher prices for that (Ordered Sunday, arrived Thursday)

~Then its the shaker which is a nice simple design, with a lip sized lid and also the REGEN energy logo appearing nice and clearly, the shaker does go up to 300ml where instructions go to 250ml.

Well, its powder, white powder, if my theory that the flavour is the same as the apple gfuel. Buit then a mini cup was inside and then it was time to pour it.

The Tasting

Well, it actually tasted great, I had the sour apple sweet feeling in my mouth as i tasted it, it felt pretty diluted quickly since i did fill it up to the 300ml mark, but then i was stupid and did another spoonful which was nice but bad for me later.

The Energy,

Well,  to put it simply, it wasn't as great as I had hoped. I felt energetic when i ran down to the bus stop in 8 minutes, but as i was on the bus, I felt like i was bursting for a piss and that was a bad idea, since when i went to go, i felt an pain on my right hand side, not the heart. But the heart rate was not as bad as I was guessing it to be, but after that i felt weary, maybe it was the lack of sleep from the day before, but later on, nearing 11, i was feeling really ill, shakey and hands and legs going numb. Yes Numb. Which made me think I had overdosed on Regen, since it 160mg of caffeine for 2 spoonfuls, I had 3 so thats 200mg of caffeine. Which is okay for some people but as someone with energy anyway, it might of been too much. Which caused some odd feeling i've not had since the saturday when i was really sleepy during the afternoon. 

But once I woke up on the Sunday, i felt pretty energetic when typing this up, so it might of been the lack of sleep from the previous few days, either way, I know to put less for me to keep going. But there is alot of projects up soon. 

The Conclusion

This is strong energy and maybe i didn't estimate how strong to begin with but luckily this will help me keep focused for video editing and blogpost typing for a week or so, but in SMALL Doses.

• The instruction don't mention what type of spoon to use

• Can cause you to feel ill if more than the recommend amount

Heinz Curry Mango Sauce

Another review from the Approved Food Haul, its been almost a month in trying to get this done, things get busy and i'm sorry. But this is quite a nice combination in its own right. This cost £0.50 each and was not easy to find if it was not for Approved Food. Amazon do have it as well.

The Bottle. 

The designs is the classic tiny heinz style that is well known and somewhat respected, this, along with a nice picture of chick drumsticks and lettuce. The ingredients are the same causal ones a curry sauce needs, gherkins, mustard etc.

For this review, a simple snack of a Penguin will do it. So, a plate with the sauce and Penguin it was.

I managed to unwrap the seal at the top which can be hard with one hand but its not really a fault of the sauce. But then it squeezed out and it was pretty much the same colour the bottle had inside.

Now this pretty was tasting like curry sauce but there was a hint of Mango in that taste, so it does really taste like what it says on the tin, as it were. But it can leave a very strong smell of curry on your fingers too.

It was a nice little one to eat and I would certainly be ideal to mix with other foods to make the flavour that little bit extra. With that in mind.

• Quite Hard to find
• The curry can be quite stand and overpowering the mango 
• Normal Price might not look attractive as it seems.

hEAT ‘EM UP Doner Kebab with Spicy Chilli Sauce.

With a new bit of food to buy when I was shopping last week, I noticed this little gem of a meal. £1.00 for a Doner Kebab, then yes please. So I bought this and another meal but this one was more popular to review according to a Twitter Poll.

The Packaging. 

What caught my eye was the BOLD colours and big text and a picture of the kebab. The Price on the corner also helps to give attention to you. In all honesty though, green text on purple backgrounds is not the best to see but a few bits of it was, not all. The info was dense on the other side of the boxes but the main sides were clear and simple to read.

How it looks:

Well, once its out of the box, it doesn't look as filled as the photo but there is something in there and the sachet of sauce is quite runny from the prediction. But some onions that were frozen were also loose as well. Its a nice size for the pita bread which gives some extra additions if you wanted it. The meat is a bit small amount and the onions were a nice fair size with what was not falling out of the packaging.

The sauce was a small size, it was not fully loaded but it wasn't a bag of air, so you do get a bit of it.

How to cook it:

This was actually quite an easy 12 simple steps:

1. Get a plate & Mug
2. Boil a kettle with water in
3. Unrwap the Kebab's packaging
4. Put kebab on plate
5.  Pour water into mug
6. Put sachet in mug
7. Put plate in for 3 minutes
8. Wait until cooked
9. Take plate out of Microwave 
10. Take sachet out of mug
11.  Pour sachet onto kebab
12. Fold up and enjoy

How did it taste: 

Well, that was actually a nice taste to it, okay its not that rich in its meat but the lamb you could taste and the onions were quite good and the sauce was nice but then after a few bites, it was going into that lip burning sensation, this was while it was dripping on the table. But for a meal its actually filling enough for some smaller appetites, for me maybe a bit small. But the bread allows for more to be crammed in which intense flavours like crisps, chicken, biscuits could be added in there. 

With this in mind

Holland and Barrett Maximum Strength Aloe Vera Juice

This is the Review which is to help me prep for an event soon, this month. Which I might need to be more toned or have a major detox and since Aloe Vera Juice is a favourite drink of mine, it was time to taste some strong version of it. This does exactly that for £6.64 each (half price) from Holland and Barrett and you can see why below: 

The Bottle,

This is a thick bottle to show of the 946ml of juice inside, in a white design, it seals the contents quite nicely and the sticker has a lot of small print but its clear enough to read without needing to lean in or some cases, wear glasses. The front of the bottle is quite clear and "MAXIMUM STRENGTH" is a good sign this will perform they way you want it t. Its heavy when lifting it as well so that doesn't make it a false product either.

A look at the juice and a taste test

So with this, I opened the seal and poured some into a glass and it looks like lime cordial in a slight way and it was interesting there was no pellets of aloe vera in this, But it was also like the colour of the packaging on the bottle, I think thati s a clever idea.

Then it was the tasting, which to be fair is MUCH different than i would EXPECT it to be. Now it has a slightly Bitter taste to it, like lemon juice, you can feel it appearing in the throat after a short time but its not really strong but not invisible either, Its not an addictive drink and shortly after 2 glasses of it to drink for the review, I needed the toilet, which means it might actually do its job.

The Conclusion:

All in all, this drink is not meant to be a everyday drink, but as mentioned on the packaging, a supplement to detox yourself with so it doesn't taste good enough to be a only drink it unless you really want to empty yourself (actually me), with this in mind:

Patak's Lime Pickle

This was a spur of the moment review of a extra that is spicy and lush when ordering from a Indian Takeout, and as I was near Tesco after a home Visit with a somewhat regular customer who i see every 6 months or so. As i was shopping, looking for deals, I noticed this coming in at £1.00, normally its £1.99 on Tesco direct. Amazon have a pack of 2 at various times. We will have a look :)

The Packaging.

Patak's have quite a bold theme to represent their take on the food culture of India and the East. With Purple, Green and other contrasting colours surrounding the jar of 283g of lime Pickle, you can feel its brand from the looks. There backstory gives it a more personal touch as well with how the brand have lasted this long and they deserved to last for generations to come.

How Does it look for eating ?

Well, the looks of it is pretty different when you compare it Branston Pickle or even some Red Onion chutney. But the chunks are there which makes it seems like a nice thick paste so when eating, it doesn't go straight through me. I could have no drips when i dipped my finger in it for a closer look.

Then we finally add it to a meal, which in this case it was slightly blended in but you can still see a remain of the texture which is nice. This was a Peri Peri Chicken Curry with rice, beef, potato Wedges, nutella, crisps and thats about it

A Taste to Conclusion

AS i put it on my finger and ate the pickle, it did taste of Lime and also that kick to it, its not a massive intense kick like the hot variant but there is a slight difference in flavour compared to what some Indian Cuisines will offer with Poppadoms. If you ate a bigger amount like what was featured on the plate, then there will be a spicier taste to it. But with that in mind.

• The looks might make it look like a toilet remains
• The medium flavour can have a stronger kick than guessed

Vimto Fizzy Zero

This is just a quickie which is related to drinks. Ok now drinks I've not reviewed which is meh but i'm working on possibly more soon. Anyways, today we try some Vimto Fizzy Zero, which was a diet version of Vimto Fizzy which was in Morrisons for a Pack of 6 for £1.86. The video is below:

The packaging

This is just a simple can from the pack of 6, which is a nice Purple but in a light shade design, since Vimto is a dark purple colour, the zero is representing light and calorie free which the colour shade is a nice way to reflect this. But there is only one panel of small text like a blurb and ingredients list and more really. The expiry date is 11 months from now but cans like this are used in less than 2 hours and packs less than 5 days.

Testing: 

Now, this was a pretty strong taste to it, since grape is heavily used in it, there is a sensation of it. But there is also a very unique tang to it, Which is the Vimto flavouring coming into play, now it does have a odd taste to begin with but it might put you off if you have too much of it. But its a recipe consisting of grapes, raspberry and some other juices. Its hard to send it to be fair as well.

Conclusion:

So this is a zero variant of a popular drink which is not too bad, Vimto isn't a solid 10 drink by all means, but it is a nice one in some respects:

• actually cheaper than lilt by £0.20 per 6 pack
• It can be slightly refreshing

The Bad Points:

• The flavour can be strong, not to drink too often. 
• There is a filling fizzy sensation even with the refreshing feeling

Aloe Vera Juice Original

So, this review was a quick plan, with drinking this a few weeks ago with Pete, i decided to get a bottled reviewed to show you guys and ladies the taste and well, this was £1 from Poundland. But thee one me and pete drank was the half size bottle which was 2 for £.

Serving the drink

The drink is quite a light grape colour, with some gel inside, i'm interested about that but it has that smell of Washing powder as well as the typical aloe vera smell. But it was clear to see the pellets as well.

When i tasted it, it was nice, sure there is that unique taste but its a good refreshing drink. With that in mind...
