Tymbark Apple Mint Drink

So, Lockdown is 30 days in and well its time to finally do small reviews. Such as nice drinks and other bits of tech. Well, we kick off with the first of different reviews and a cheap drink is for one of them, This one was a bit of shopping in Tesco a few days before for an amazing £0.29. But enjoy the quick review

The Bottle: 

The design is standing out and almost carnival-like design, to clearly show the mix of apple and mint flowing through and actually not much of a translation happening here. There's not much sugar as some will expect to have in that one which is about the 8.4g of sugar for the 250ml bottle. The colour of the drink does look like pee though,.

Then it was time to see how the lid opens up like the ring lid sometimes might be a popper like but its actually a film style peel which has an interesting tagline in the lid itself.

But then it was time to drink

There we have to taste and actually was a lush refreshing taste, one with that hint of mine but you know the apple is there as well as if you drink more you do feel it has been diluted a bit which gives it a bit of a safer mix. I mean it does help with the digestive system apple and mint too. 

The conclusion: 

All in all, this is one good drink for a very good value and cheaper than lemonade in some cases, well not for the quantity but the quality in this way.

• There is only 250ml per bottle

Slush Puppy Iceee Blue Raspberry

So, this was needed to review when I saw them in Tescos for £3.00 from the cycle day vlog last week. But this is some special flavour I HAD to try.







But after bumps on the road and busy times with failed dates. We finally got this reviewed. The video is below:

The Packaging. 

The design is on point with how Slush Puppie market their products, the red and white text, the blue and white colours mixed and Carnival-style design is in full squish here The labelling is quite nice and this also gives me a vibe of the Tango ice lollies from Poundland a few years back. But its quite easy.

When I opened it, the packets were in three and shaped like a Capri-sun, but it was frozen solid. This meant I had to wait for about 20 minutes or so for it to dry, which gave me a heart to heart with S. The design was the same as the front and back of the box too. So no change there.

The taste. 

After it had defrosted, I decided to suck and slurp, it was a nice flavour, a slightly different due to the no sugar but was nice. But my tongue got stuck in the plastic cap which is a shame. But that was also the annoyance of part of the ice would not crush inside, but maybe that was from the thing being too frozen maybe.

Conclusion: 

All in all, it is a nice cold drink, this could prove popular later on this year and unless I get the slushie machine working, this will have to do but it's nice for the cheap.

• Reasonable price in a multi-box
• could work to cool the backdown

The Bad Points: 

• Can only be bought in Tesco
• Not sold separately
• Can hurt the tongue when sucking
• Not all the ice is easy to crush even after 25 min of room temperature to let it settle

Now I will try to review but I will be on holiday and getting new vlogs done.

hEAT ‘EM UP Doner Kebab with Spicy Chilli Sauce.

With a new bit of food to buy when I was shopping last week, I noticed this little gem of a meal. £1.00 for a Doner Kebab, then yes please. So I bought this and another meal but this one was more popular to review according to a Twitter Poll.

The Packaging. 

What caught my eye was the BOLD colours and big text and a picture of the kebab. The Price on the corner also helps to give attention to you. In all honesty though, green text on purple backgrounds is not the best to see but a few bits of it was, not all. The info was dense on the other side of the boxes but the main sides were clear and simple to read.

How it looks:

Well, once its out of the box, it doesn't look as filled as the photo but there is something in there and the sachet of sauce is quite runny from the prediction. But some onions that were frozen were also loose as well. Its a nice size for the pita bread which gives some extra additions if you wanted it. The meat is a bit small amount and the onions were a nice fair size with what was not falling out of the packaging.

The sauce was a small size, it was not fully loaded but it wasn't a bag of air, so you do get a bit of it.

How to cook it:

This was actually quite an easy 12 simple steps:

1. Get a plate & Mug
2. Boil a kettle with water in
3. Unrwap the Kebab's packaging
4. Put kebab on plate
5.  Pour water into mug
6. Put sachet in mug
7. Put plate in for 3 minutes
8. Wait until cooked
9. Take plate out of Microwave 
10. Take sachet out of mug
11.  Pour sachet onto kebab
12. Fold up and enjoy

How did it taste: 

Well, that was actually a nice taste to it, okay its not that rich in its meat but the lamb you could taste and the onions were quite good and the sauce was nice but then after a few bites, it was going into that lip burning sensation, this was while it was dripping on the table. But for a meal its actually filling enough for some smaller appetites, for me maybe a bit small. But the bread allows for more to be crammed in which intense flavours like crisps, chicken, biscuits could be added in there. 

With this in mind

Frugo Ultra Green Juice

A quick review of a juice I bought actually while I was shopping in Tesco one evening. It was something called Frugo. This was actually in the import isle in the local Tesco and it was quite a nice drink, now there was a video but I found out when i was filming on the phone, it dropped into the water and fried the mic :(((. So that means as well as my sister's cat dying young yesterday, the phone can't do vlogs any more easily, so i've had to order a new one for technically £10 more without a case but its uk stock. But thats a different thing.#

Well its a small 250ml glass bottle which has a jungle theme to it with, it was nice with a tiger and chamleon. Then the cap was quite nice in its design.

The taste:

Well the taste is actually quite fruity, its a mix of fruits but its a different taste to lilt, But you can taste the apple and the kiwi but there is a mix of the bitterness to one of the other fruits in there.

Toshiba 1TB Canvio Basics USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive

A surprise written review again, but this one is something i might need before I even get the Goose Fair vlogs sorted which is still 2 weeks away. But with the Tesco in Tavi, there was an offer on these hard drives, a big offer that even suppliers could offer me, Normal ones are around £42 but if you are looking for this 1TB HDD.Amazon do it for just about that with FREE delivery which is not too bad in all honesty.There is no Video review of this yet again due to me feeling a litter better than last time but the flue is still in me which is a annoyance and the weather changes too.

The Packaging. 

Now this is quite a modern and clear package that does follow the Red and white which Toshiba use quite alot. With the Red at the top of the box along with a white Toshiba logo as well as a big "1TB/To"and icons to describe the features it has, like USB 3.0 Support and USB power (not powered for some reason). But there is a bit of smallish print which might not stand out unless its in your hand type text which is ok and its a multi language version from the translations into french and german below the english text. Canvio Basics is the model which gives an impression that is might be a needed thing. The bottom of the box has the serial and EAN codes and some locations as well as the Toshiba Storage website. 

The back is full of text, which none of it is in english except the top bit with the speed of transfer of usb 3.0 and 2.0. There was some small print related to the testing conditions and examples of photos and videos may vary, of course it will since a legit blue-ray rip will be a different file size to what was downloaded from a filehoster re encoded in x264 etc. 

The sides of the box are different each side which is a good thing. The left has the Toshiba logo, Canvio Basics and he 7 and 8 WHQL logos and the right has the english info that was on the back in different languages. Also "no software to install" is a new feature since HDDs like Touro Mobile put some backup software on there. But the pics should explain more.

The back of the box with the many translations for the product, which for the recent times of immigration for some, this is a useful feature for products to appeal to many.

Well this is easily open from the top after peeling or slicing a sticker off which then its enclosed in 2 plastic shells and then the paperwork is here too. Now there was more documents than usual and it seems like it was imported since there were 2 eastern european documents which confuzzed me a bit and the manual and warranty was in many many languages too. Then a short usb cable and the HDD was shown which was in a Matt black as well as mini blue led near the connector piece for the HDD which i thought was cool. The weight of the drive was actually quite light for a HDD too, but i have this feeling that it was not one that could be taken out of the case and connect via sata due to the thinness of it, maybe if anything happens out of the 2 YEAR (yes 2 years normal warranty, check the booklet) warranty, I can take a peek inside. 

There was a advert for a wireless accessory  which technically i can do using the TP link W8968 which if i ever move out i might use more often. But the manual for english was a short page of just refer to the maunal on the hard drive itself, (i can upload if people require) and capacity and safety instructions, it was the same with the other languages too.

Time to Test.

Now this was simple to plug in, sure its usb 3.0 but it can still work in 2.0 (black usb ports) but this was testing and usb 3.0 makes life easier and faster for me. I plugged it in and saw the manual appear as a PDF on the root of the Canvio drive which i didn't really need to read since its a Hard drive, its not that complex to copy and paste to a degree.

But I ran the Crystal Disk Info and Disk Mark on the drive to give it a test, this is used in various reviews so its fair that i should do that same, it was around 113mbit/s. Which really when i copied 63GBs of Steam content over it never reached that point at any of it, but it took a 20 minute wait with chores and catching up with mum before just as she got out of the bath it was finished. The drive did feel a bit warm but then again the sshd in my laptop get past 50C at some stages which is really worrying.

OK it then got a bit faster

Then the speed when down halfway

But then peaked at the last 25%. 

Well it was useful and fast so backing up before having to do a reinstall on my laptop before goose fair and managing files is going to be easier with this one, it actually backed up all of profile except the videos folder within 2 hours which is fast. With this in mind:

• Very good value 
• Nice slim design for a Basics drive
• USB 3.0 is useful 
• 1TB is a decent backup size
• No Backup software to make it easy to start copying and pasting

The Bad Points:

• The languages inside might put off people. 
• The cable might not be long enough (this can be sorted by ordering a longer cable)
• No backup software (for people who are unsure how to copy and paste)
