Well this was a delayed review from a long time ago, which this was purchased back in January from Menkind and was going to hopefully prove to be useful for filming projects during #lockdown3 but Sadly I never got around to it. But here is the review.
The Packaging:
Now this is actually nice and simple in its colour scheme, Black and yellow is part of some rap i recall but it suits it here, it makes it easier. Now it has a fair bit of text and description about it, but it does show and explain how it works. The sides of the boxes just have the logo on it.

The back of the box
Now it is actually made or branded by a firm called thumbs up which does have this idea of it is easier t brand gadgets and phone accessories under one brand and gaming bits under another, Orb are part of the same brand and have the glowing USB Cables. But the quality seems to be good from past experiences.
As we open the box, it comes with
The clamp with USB cable
Manual
Phone Holder
It was quite a heavy one to lift I will admit, but it was a simple package and not separated into sections with any cardboard filler but there was bubble wrap for it all.
The Manual:
Now this was actually a short 2 to 3 page manual but had different languages which made it appear to be a big chunky one, it guided on how to use the clamp and how to plug in the usb cable to control the ring light.

The mainly English part of the manual
The Clamp and holder
So, this is the holder itself, the cable its a hard shell flexible cable to help with the right way for your phone holder to work out and also the actual phone holder is identical to the one used in the previous review of the Ring light selfie lamp. The clamp is a bulky one and the cable is heavy too so it can do some damaged if swung around or dropped from a distance .
The Phone attachment

Then it was a look at the ring light, which is quite a small one and it did have a more stronger feel than the other ring light I've used in the past. And the flex pole cable was quite a long one too and since is separate, it makes it easier to adjust the angle for it.
The ring light itself,
Now its time to plug in and test.
The testing:
So this is a simple one to setup. clamp it to a part or edge of a table or desk and then plug in the usb cable, it was easy to plug in and the cable did stretch longer than I was expecting it, it was say about 1m or so. Then it turned on with the blue led around the button on the controller and then the ring was lit up.
The controller with the blue LED

How it looks when I turned it on with the normal tone
Then the controller was the same ad the other ring light, the buttons to just press and change aka the arrow symbol to then change the mood/tone. Warm, Normal and Cool were the options.

In the Normal mode full brightness
In the warm mode medium brightness
In the Cool mode medium brightness
In the Cool Mode full brightness
Then it was time to attach the phone:
The Phone Attaching:
Now this was the same as the other ring light, except easier since the phone did not have to fit in the circle of the light itself, But then again the Phone was heavy so it had to be tightened up since the phone did slant down after I first put it on there. But then it was time to show how the selfies look with each mode of the right light on.
The selfie on the cool mode
The selfie on the Warm mode
The Selfie n the normal mode
So that covers it and it does seem easier to use n some ways.
The Conclusion:
Well this seems like a easier to setup for filming, more versatile if space in the room floor is not an option but loads of desk to table space to make it easier to film, sure its a heavy clamp but it does show it to be easier to use after. The ring light is still as bright and easy to plug n and use.
With that being Said:
omracer's Rating: 8/10
The Good Points:
Reasonable Value
A clamp to attach to Tables
Standard USB plug for ring light
Thick Flexible cable/Pole
Supports most smartphones
The Bad Points:
Clamp can make it quite heavy
You do need to check the tightness when attaching the phone holder,
Well that does another review and there are about 3 to 4 left to go on the long term plan, 2 of them are kickstarters and 1 of them is a kickstart that arrived and still time to get things organised with the time to film that indeed.
