So, this review i have sort of wanted to do for a long while and as i was leaving work to get home and needed to buy some juice, i decided to buy it, that and it was reduced, but this item i've had many times for various lunches in work, since its a good value.

To be honest, you can pick this up in a local Spar or a local newsagents and even some petrol stations have this, the price is normally £1 but since this was going to expire in less than 24 hours from when i bought it, it was worth £0.50 :D. the video is below: 

The packaging

But to be honest there is hardly much i can say about the packaging, its easy to open-ish, the design is simple and it includes what it needs to. So i will just leave this here:

The shape and taste

Well, there is a nice burger like shape to it, which is sort of what attracted me to the product, and since there is 2 of them, it can satisfy me budgetly. but the texture has a very slightly fried look to it which might give the chicken part of it away.

As far as tasting goes, i said in the video it has a sweet taste and it does, not waffle sweet but it makes it more succulent meat type sweet, maybe its from the high fat but its nice either way.

Eating the product

But when you look inside the food, it does have that fat side look but its not noticeable when your eating it for the most parrt, there is also a slight bit of onions in the thing. But apart from that, its does give the feel of burger meat.

Conclusion

This is a nice budget lunch that can go well with most other snacks as part of a quick meal for under £2, i mean i mostly have them with space raiders and its nice to combine it a bit. But all in all...

TP Link TD-W8968 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router

Another review, another product. So this time, its slightly a product which is more a necessary one for most people these days but doesn't really get talked about as much. People call these "routers". Now as a guy that does alot of internet work, its best to get a router that suits the needs of what i want and maybe what roomates and family members. 

May i present to you.

TP Link TD-W8968 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router

So, this router has a fair amount of features and i've also been selling TP-Link equipment in work for over 2 years. So i do have a slight bit of experience with the products, well some anyway. But with my Belkin router just being rubbish and the DHCP locking up and rendering access to the internet useless without rebooting and with it happening too often, its now a tale of replacing it. The unique features of this one is that USB and also support for Fibre, but i will get to that later.

The Outside - Packaging:

The box has a pretty clear and nice ocean (not oceana) design to it, with the white logo and the blue backgrounds, its nice to have a good contrast which doesn't make it hard to read. Also i'm sorry that i didn't get the right images, i used screencaps instead :/.

Now the box was quite easy to open up, which is a bonus for the most part, well its easier for people to get it setup if the box is easy to open, which does sound common sense like. Now its time to see what you get in the box.

The inside - what you get, then plug the thing in...

There is a nice shaped inside container which gives a general idea of where the parts go in the box. But what do you actually get inside , well a list is below:

• The Router itself, sealed and both aerials attached
• The power cable
• 1 ADSL filter (will be handy if lighting strikes)
• 2 ADSL RJ11 cables, this made me go hmm, why 2, maybe for fibre but thats rj45 ??
• 1 ethernet RJ45 cable
• 1 tiny CD with the setup, you don't need it unless you really read by the book
• 1 quick install guide for both CD and non CD use (please read this, it makes life as easy as kissing a,.... uhh....just walking in the park)
• 1 GPU license Doc, mostly for the legal team
• 1 Wireless document, this is more for the standards of wifi and the legal paperwork

Now getting this to work was ok, i already had the router connected so i turned it off, unplugged everything and put the router in its place and wired it up, it even fitted the power cable that was there, which that cable was a BT homehub 2 power adapter. Then its as i see it below:

The timing of the set up

Now after it was turned on, the site to go to is "http://tplinkmodem.net" or the IP is actually 192.168.1.1, but people prefer URLs nowadays, the lazy things. As you get to there, your welcomed with a login page

The login page. the Defaults are admin and admin. Simple but make sure you change it if you do set it up, makes it more unhacker frfriendly

After logging in, you are shown a page of what you can do as well as the current connection status, This can be useful to see what you get. Now funnily enough, the reading on my belkin was showing 17-19mb but this was showing 15mb, so it might be more accurate.

That was copied from the actual router, Each one does different things, from STB (Youview...ugh) to even setting up a guest wifi for friends and customers to use, B&Bs will like this feature a fair bit. there is also times to time when the wifi or internet is off, closed minded parents will like this feature a fair bit as well, since they can stop their kids talking to predators online (or end up conned out of £1.5k over paypal from a guy 15 miles away in efford). 

Now each setting might confuse the majority, i will be included in that, but this can help people be in control if they can handle it. Below is a screenshot of some of the menus, i can only do some of them, i don't want to mess with them.

Testing the thing:

Well, there are so many tests i could do but it would be too long to get this even done, i just made 2 tests for this review. The 1st test is how far can the signal go for, and my repsonse is to the edge of a garden in this case, as you saw on the video, the distance is quite far, even though it is also 2 bars at the same point when i tested the Belkin, i feel it will be more stable there than before.

The next test was actually making sure Upnp works, i've had troubles with that and NAT Type 3 on my PS3, so i hope this would fix it and sure enough... it works with no problems. YESSSSSS

The conclusion

So, the router was quick to set-up, works on wifi quickly and also quite far and it makes PSN work nicely, which makes it easier for me to handle.

But there can be more good points than bad but lets include as much as know about:

Good Points:

• Very presentable
• Clearish instructions
• Nice looking, 
• Easy to set up (without CD) 
• Good looking interface on web
• USB
• Fibre support when needed
• PSN works better
• Good value for money

Bad points: 

• the wps button isn't easy to get to (more late at night if needed)
• maybe gigabit and more Ethernet ports if possible (but thats more a corporate environment)
• The manual wants you to use the CD if you can, implies it
• maybe could of added microsim slot to make it a mifi router with ease 

So that is a router review, i might of missed a fair amount of features but this is more focused on basic usage but the extras are there,

PSYC Capella Earphones

So with my life in general, getting places requires me to do what people try to accompany in their lives as an extra nessecity, walking or running. Now i run to work everyday, listening to a vast amount of music, from Anime Soundtracks to even some of the Sonic Colors OST. As well as running from place to place and even 16 miles or more on a night out. So when headphones break, it kind of makes me shocked and annoyed at the same time, mostly with one of the earphones deciding to cut out without having to twist the wires.

So picking new earphones is usually tricky, i have a budget of £10, now that is pretty poor for most listening but i'm more selfless or investing it into love related ventures which is more important. But i've noticed these earphones that i've been selling in work for a few months recently, Made by Sumvision under the PSYC branding, i show you the Capella:

The inside of the box, well the front is actually just a cover, which includes the actual earphones themselves and some more text and artwork on the left hand side.

Now the packaging is really vibrant ant impressive, it also attracts me more than the previous headphones i've purchased, like ones from poundland to some Panasonic ones i buy from Towels at various times. But unboxing these was quite easy, except for worrying if getting the earbuds out of the plastic casing would rip the cable, but it didn't, even though it is best to be careful.  Although you would think it would just contain the earphones, it actually does have some nice extras which i'll list below:

• The earphones themselves
• A Pouch to put the earphones in
• A bag with some extra caps for the earphones

The contents of the item, which is listed above. 

Now the pouch is a simple but actually quite a huge sized pouch for the earphones, which is a better than having one that doesn't fit the earphones type pouch. Also the length of them is a decent sized length which is really useful, its even long enough to tuck the wire inside my wirefronts and then have at the pocket which my phone is in, to help hide away the wiring, which is useful when Dancing in a nightclub or maybe even in a fight, they are about 1.2 to 1.5m, its funny since the box doesn't mention the length. But if you want to know how long that is then have a look at them below:

This is just to show the length of them, which is quite long and they are not that easy to get tangled, which is a good bonus, leads can get tangled badly with my life.

So now it was the time to actually see if they fit my ears, now the caps are quite nice but i'm going to be honest and they did fall out quite easily, which is going to be an issue, either that or i have too much ear wax inside of my ears, But this can be solved with some glue and broken sports earphones. Even from an attempted picture of these in my ears, they were and felt close to dropping out.

Now it comes to the point of earphones.....The Sound. 

This has impressed me and i will give a quick simple bullet point on how my first test with them went when running home from work, it was quite nice but not everything is perfect:

• Quality is superb - there was no feeling of it being tinny at any point
• Really amazing Bass - when i was running across the park to one of my favourite songs, part of it felt like a club vibe. 
• There is a nice depth of loundness to it, which can help immerse myself in the music, ok its not recommended when running across the moors at 3am at night after raving at a nightclub (jesters) but its nice nontheless.
• The earphones dropped out of me at least 3 full times and 5 times where my hands had it pushed in before, but this is a common problem with earphones with no ear hooks on
• The 3.5mm connector isn't a Right Angled one, which can be bad but the connector has a slight angle so it isn't going to fully need to bend. 

So i was reasonably happy with them, they are some good ones to buy. I'm feeling its well worth the £10, sure there are no ear hooks but i think with some DIY skills, i can fix that.

Now buying them isn't as simple for everyone as it would be. Yes you can buy from amazon which i'll link below, but not all shops sell them, luckily if you live in Tavistock, 23 market street has a nice stock of them, there are two other shops in plymouth to buy them. But you will be looking at least £12 for them, anywhere, or if you have a discount at a shop which sells them.
